Rainy Season

We just thought this sign was funny. It offers free beer with cement purchase. You can build your belly and your house at the same event.

Monte Alban is just outide Oaxaca City. It is a pre-hispanic city that has been uncovered - pretty interesting.

We really liked this pic because it shows 3 generations. The mom in the tradional hand made dresses and the daughter with tradional but store bought skirt and blouse and the granddaughter in pants. All the women dress in these with a few exceptions. The little girls usually follow also with the floral skirts but sometimes not.

Another mom and kids. The ladies all carry their babies like this, more often on their backs. With the rough roads and steep hills, it seems to work well. They certainly seem to have mastered it anyway.

What we Believe

We believe that God exists and that he is perfection and holiness. He created all things that are created from nothing but his word. He spoke the world and all that is in it into life. We believe that he created mankind in his image; containing spirit and that he created mankind to worship him and have fellowship with him. The first man and woman disobeyed God and at that time death entered into mankind through them. Every person born of Adam and Eve, the first two, have been born with sin. That would include every single person born and to be born. Sin is against God and separates humanity from God. We believe that God spoke many times through different men over the ages to instruct us in his ways and more importantly to tell us of his promise to make a way for us to have fellowship with him without the barrier of sin. It was God who told the first sinners that their sin brought the penalty of death; physical and spiritual. God has made the way for the sinner to be cleansed of his sins so that his spirit can live forever with God, even though his body will still die. This way is Jesus Christ. He is the promise fulfilled. He was born and lived on the earth exactly as scripture had predicted. He is fully God and was fully man. His perfection qualifies him as the perfect sacrifice to fulfill the death penalty over mankind. His death atoned for our sins. He rose from the dead three days later which was the proof that he was as he claimed to be; God of very God. God himself has come to cleanse us of our sins and to make the way to eternal life. We believe that men and women can be saved from eternal hell by trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross; which means they believe he is God and that his work of atonement is complete and their debt is paid through him. They enter into a relationship with the Father and live their lives in Christ. When we turn from our ways of sin and turn to God in Jesus Christ, by trusting and believing him, we are given His Spirit to teach and guide us until the time we can go home to heaven. We state this important news to you here because we know that there are many who have heard parts of this truth but either misunderstand or don't know the whole truth. Our lives belong to Jesus and it is our extreme joy to share this good news with all who will receive it. We believe that God is bringing the light of his truth of Christ to all that will belong to him, his children, who are from every tribe, tongue and nation. It is our priveledge to participate in the honor of bringing this news to others. We hope to see you in our Father's house with Jesus at the end of the age.
